Our iMovie session began with exploring the potential with the iMovie Trailers which have pre-formatted themes and sections for students to apply text, video and photos. Our students explained how they have used these to support their learning, for example producing an iMovie Trailer to explain the plot of A Midsummer Night's Dream, as shown to the right.
We moved on to the freedom of a new movie project which allows students to change the audio by applying a voice over, music and sound effects, adding video and image clips and altering the time and speed they are shown for, applying title screens and even using the features of having two videos running side by side or having a screen within an image to make their work look really professional.
We discussed how students can share their iMovie creations; to other students for peer assessment and to their teachers. We were all left excited with the potential of where we can use iMovie as cross-curricular super glue to it's full potential.
